Heaven & Jasmine {Sisters}
Heaven and Jasmine these two sisters were a joy. Heaven is 4 and Jasmine is 6. And you would never know that this was their was first photo session ever. They sure made me laugh. I’m glad I was able to provide some great first photos for the new family. Heaven & Jasmine are in the process of being adopted by a great woman. Danielle I’m sure you’ll love these as much as I do.
Nicole {Chapel at Rose Hulman}
Recently, I had the pleasure of doing a shoot with Nicole. She had stated that she loves a good black & white high contrast combo. So with this in mind I had shot the whole session with black and white in mind. This black and white is a little different then my normal processing. But I feel it goes well with this photo. Behind her is the Chapel at Rose Hulman in Terre Haute Indiana.
A lazy summer day…. {Amanda}
Tonight, I had the pleasure of photographing Amanda in Bridgeton, Indiana. It is a small town that has a covered bridge. This bridge is on the historic registry & on the tour of the bridges in the area. Every year there is a Bridge Festival and this year it is October 8-17th. My widest lens is the Canon 85mm 1.8. So, I was unable to get a photo with the whole bridge in it.
Eliana & the Giant Pusteblume {Sweetness}
Eliana and I were walking in Dugger along the railroad track. We came across this weeded section that had some giant pusteblume {dandelions}. All Eliana wanted to do was either swing at them or blow them to make them go away. It took me a few minutes to convince her to let me take a few photos first. These were no ordinary pusteblume. They were the same size as Eliana’s hand. Neither one of us had seen pusteblume this big before. Eliana kept referring to the giant pusteblume.
Railroad Track {Replaced}
On the way to the coal mine we stopped in Dugger. They just happened to be replacing the railroad track. It’s not often when you come across them replacing sections on a railroad track let alone building a new one. Last year I posted a photo of the new track which is not far from this track. But with my host issues back at the end of April that is no longer on my blog. Eliana and I watched them work for awhile. It was very neat.
Old Glory {Dragline}
About a month or so ago they were getting the dragline ready to stop operation. And with one wrong move the boom was damaged & it couldn’t be moved. They were in fear of it causing further damage. They brought in 3 cranes to hold up the boom. It sat up until last week. The guys worked on it to take the boom down. It is now down and they’ll be doing maintenance and repairs on it for awhile. Then it will be walked about 20 miles to it’s next digging location. I can’t wait to see the dragline walk. The real thing will be awesome compared to the video’s I’ve seen on You Tube. And of course more photos of it as well. Near the bottom of the photo is a blur. If I remember correctly I was trying to dodge birds but I guess I got one in this photo. And I thought this could use an old look to it.
